I’m Joe, I'm retired lawyer and I live alone in Gloucester.

I’ve brought up my son on my own since my marriage breakdown nearly 20 years ago and I have been entirely single since then. Now my son is fully grown and independent. I am very proud of him and love him dearly.

So, I’m on my tod, feeling lonely, and I’m looking for a woman with similar interests, for friendship and fun dates initially, maybe more if it feels right to us both.

I've been told I'm kind, thoughtful and romantic, also that I’m emotionally available. I love reading, theatre, films, music gigs and all the arts. I'm very active in helping to run a large local book club and social group. When it's allowed, I love nothing more than meeting friends for a coffee or a trip to the cinema. I hate getting older and won't give up on having fun!

Also, I’m on this site because I have a disability. This means I walk with a limp, have mobility problems and can get fatigued. I was born with mild cerebral palsy that makes my left side weak and this was made worse by a stroke 10 years ago. I use a stick outdoors, so I won’t be winning Strictly or running marathons anytime soon! Just to be clear, I am very independent-minded, I am not looking for a carer.
